Monster,

Yeah, I sort of left all that out because this is just a budget build for this year, and for now I am going to run the stock size valves (read=lack of $$). Next year when I can do the stroker, this all will be changed out, and I will be looking into a totally different set of heads. BTW, this is for the ranger mudder I'm building, if you haven't fugured it out...

Here are some pics of my Weiand Stealth that Kris asked me to get. They show the simple casting flash removal and my quicky VHT 1200 deg paint job to cover the ugly, as this was a used intake and even after cleaning it has some dicsoloration in the aluminum.

Under the carb pad, just removed casting flash:

Runners, matched to the intake gasket (like the heads), and removed as much casting flash as I could all the way up to the carb pad:

Why the heck do my pics seem to blur when I post them on here. In my Photobucket account and on my computer they are clear!

Karl, great thread boss!

I am a Novice in the porting world at the moment (I should have searched earlier), this helped me out some in the exhaust area. Thanks. I have read quite a few threads & articles on porting thus far but nothing really for D3s until now.

Did you try more than a standard 3-angle valve job? or top-cuts & back-cuts on the valves?

Jim,

I followed the guides I got from Scott Johnson. He's a head porter out of Washington state. Do a google search for re-incarnation.com or check the 460 sites. He has the step by step instructions.

Now for my valves, when I 1st did the heads I had a good 3 angle job done with the stock valves, now I have the ford motorsport valves, with an increased bowl area and another 3 angle job. The angles are not "standard" angles though...

Yeah, I think he is a member here on FTE too. Thanks. I think I might add a radius too in the chamber from the top-cut outward like Smokey Yunick did on his SBCs.
