Thumbs up The IDM MOD and Stock Injectors

I want to thank Scott because I am not much of a hand with the solder gun and probably wouldn't have done it but I think it is well worth it.
Well Scott calls me this afternoon and ask's, do I want to come over and put your new IDM in . So I get my gang together and head on over ,Scott had allready done the mod to IDM he pull from his truck so the R&R only took about 45 min.
Now for my truck I've changed my sig so here's my mods:
6637,4" turboback MBRP cool duals no muff,WW,EBPV deleted, ccv mod, Gauges,Bill Cohron 2 Pos chip, SS HPX line, boost reg., ITP fuel tank kit with filter and a Holley Red pump, and now a 140 volt IDM by cookie88
[SIZE=4] It started easier, noticable increase in throttle response , when you hit it revs faster , pulls harder, runs smoother, and seems to run Quieter . I wish I would have done some timed runs before and after but on the way over I had the family with me and didn't want too. But it does feel quicker from 55 to 85 in 6th gear it gets there in a hurry . It blows smoke all the way up to 100 + I guess its turbo time .

You could leave early Kris and swing by Swamps and get the injectors put in and then get Jody to tune it for you Thur . From your results it seems to be a worthwhile mod afterall.

Kris I really don't see why not. You are looking at about 1.25 hrs of work plus dry time on the sealant.

I am not 100% sure I am going to be getting on the rollers Kris. We'll see how things go. My shift kit enabled me to break both tires loose for the first time ever with no chip today. That is with my stock PCM running the stock factory split shot tunes. Now that is not all good news because I spent a lot of money on those Silent Armor tires.

Kris, this was going to be one of the things I was not prepared to discuss the other day until Smokin. I wish I was electronically savvy enough to measure my idm out put right now, but since I should have a resistor on the way I'm just going to mod it.

I also need to datalog my ICP again to see what it looks like with the single shots.

I'll give you guys a little hint about Dave's truck.....on the test ride afterwards he got a tire scratch out of the 3-4 shift!!!!

Of course, Dave can paddle the gears faster than anyone I know so it might not be a true indication

Country you would need a 73.2 K for your 2001 it should have a 120v in it the OBS trucks need the 75k. I don't think that your DP would need to be retuned but give Jody a call and see what he thinks .

Basically if you tell Jody about it, he will probably retard the timing just as much as the IDM mod advances it. So basically it will not give you as much of a gain as you once had.

A little update for you guy's this is probably more interesting to the people with handshakers. I did quite a bit of city driving today in N.Little Rock ,Levey area which is pretty hilly. I caught my self just lugging along at 30 to 35 in 6th gear (900 to 1200 rpm ) up some pretty good inclines without ******* out it just pulled the EGT's never went over 600* .It seemed much easier to drive in stop and go traffic. I had no load but my tools that I carry all the time in my 2 porkchop sideboxes.
