Ford Paid for my CPS Repair!

Last winter 06/07 My early 99 needed the CPS (I suspected, but wasn't sure). There was a snow storm coming and I needed the truck the next day. So AAA towed it to the local dealer where I had to pay over $100 for them to just acknowledge my truck was in their yard. To their credit....they got the truck done in under 24 hrs to the tune of $394 for the replacement of the CPS. Once the Recall was announced I called the dealer and they put in a claim. 7 weeks later I got the check from them!!! So anyone who has had the repair done at a Ford dealer before the recall......Go to them and put in a claim. Good luck. Tim

Unfortunately, I never saved my receipt for the one I ordered off e-bay. Ford dealer here said no refund without receipt...

cool that you got your money back, but i wonder why it took so long. i was refunded my 300 bucks within 48 hrs of submitting mine to my dealer. they would've gotten it sooner, but i got to the dealership late on afternoon. still cool to actually come away from a dealer on the positive side of things
