HELP !!! New injectors, now smoke and oil outta tailpipe!!
I finally finished the install, went pretty easy just labor intensive.
I cranked the engine like they said for about a minute w/o firing to fill galleys w/ oil and fuel
To start it, it cranks about 15 seconds, but starts with a cloud of smoke, to be expected.
BUT then, when I kinda gave it a liitle throttle, it still smoked ALOT, looked white, but now turning blue (oil)
I look under truck after running baout 2 minutes, and there is oil coming from down pipe, and oil coming out of a seam in my tail pipe under the bed.
What the hell is going on??? Is this residual stuff burning off, or did I screw up??
I took out the GP's and turned it over the on minute necessary with them out.
I don't know what the hell could be wrong- please advise!!!!

There must be close to 2 cups on the ground!!!
Ok, I'll run it longer and see what comes up.
My predator scanner didn't show any abnormal contributions either.
Man, I just don't want to take it to the damn dealership after I told them I didn't want to pay $4500!!
Worst of all, I'm out of beer!!!

UPDATE- I just started it, and it took a good 10 seconds to, but it's not smoking now, well a little from the sticks and DP tuner when I tap the throttle. But not the big, white, raiding the beach kinda smoke that was showing before.
I'll let ya know what happens in another 20 minutes or so.

Yes, there is always some amount of oil that stays in the cylinder/ exhaust valves/manifolds when you crank it over to push all the oil out, some gets lost in the valve train. Other than the normal smoke when running-in the injectors, the oil gets pushed up the up-pipes, through the turbo and finally out the exhaust. Go beat the snot out of it, and then come back 1/4 tank later and see if it's still leaking oil. Bet you it won't be

UPDATE- It stopped leaking from everywhere but the tailpipe. Damn this made a friggin mess on my concrete driveway though- any ideas on cleaning that LOL.
It's still smoking a but, bit again I think that just residual burning off.
HOWEVER- I ran my Predator on it, and it shows that cylinders 1,3,5,and 8 are off on the contribution test. What the heck is that damn thing anyways? Cyls 1 and 8 are the worst with about 3-5% off. Cyls 3 & 5 aren't that bad, showing between 0 and 2%. I'm thinking that maybe the carb cleaner and plastic brush I used to clean the bores (they HAD to be cleaned) loosened up crud in the fuel rail and is now in my injectors??
I have about 12-15 gallons in my one 55 gal tank (sorry Chris, I sold the aux tank a few months ago) and I dumped one can of Seafoam in it.
Tomorrow when I warm it up to change the oil, I'm thinking I should do what the can says and fill my fuel filter with Seafoam and run it through. Is ther any reason why I shouldn't do that?
Any finally- ya'll probably don't remember me posting my dumba$$ mistake about me dropping the truck on a lift in late 06' (doing the u-joints and forgot to block the tires, rolled back, ouch..) so I took this time to finally take off the passenger fender and fix it. I glued the pieces together with CA and kicker (crazy glue and accelerator from building r/c planes) and layed about 1/4" of glass on the back side, then filled in the front with thickened epoxy, then glazed it with (yuck) bondo. SO I can't drive around legally till I finish the wet sand and install tomorrow morning. Then I'm gonna drive it like I stole it!!

Does it idle OK? I have been through some CCT crap with mine but it runs like a scalded dog. Mine smokes a bit on startup too, but I have not had the oil out the tailpipe. Once it warms up it should not smoke at all. A warm restart after a trip to the store should be smokeless. If it smokes, there is a problem.
You are running single shots now. Try logging the ICP one time during a cold start and you'll see why it smokes during cold start. That ICP will really spike up until it starts. Those singles will really squirt it then.

I'll need about a 20 mile trip to burn off all the damn oil in this tail pipe, but I'll check the ICP tomorrow.
So what about the Seafoam in the filter housing? I idles almost like it should, but since I'm used to the truck I can tell it's a little bit off.
Also she's a bit louder too, internally anyways. I can't wait to take her out tomorrow!

Skip the sea foam for now. The injectors come with a hydraulic type fluid on them that they use to bech test them. It is not oil. Go out and thrash it some and really heat things up.
Unfortunately I am currently into my tranny valve body assemblies. I have had so many distractions it isn't even funny. I am also trying to document it so that is really slowing the process down with cleanup and posing and all.
