1997 F350 Diesel: Transmission to Manual swap?

I want to put the 5 speed in my 97 F350 powerstroke...anybody out there that did it, knows people who have done it...I have some questions about the difficulty, and any possible problems with it????

best bet is to get a compleet donar truck, your need the whole pedal assembly cluch master/slave cyl, lines, flywheel and maby driveshafts (dont know if they are differnt lenghts on these trucks havent done one on a psd.) probably a few other parts as well, last auto to manual swap i did was on an datsun 280zx. but your best bet is to find a compleet donar vehical so you will have everything you need, but dont reuse the old preasure plate cluch and t/o bearing get new, it dosent cost that much and while its all apart yourd be a fool not to replace with new, also if your donar vehical has a d/m flywheel ditch it for a smf

Andy on here did that swap. I can't for the life of me remember his screen name. I believe he did a full writeup on it. Somebody help me remember his screen name. He had a thread on here selling all his auto tranny parts.........HELP

and when you pull your auto i will take it right off your hands if its ok. or are you replacing cuz its broke?

i was also thinking about doing a swap auto to manual in my 97psd. this is my first auto truck and i am not a big fan of tranny at all but i love the truck. i saw a low miliage 6 speed from a super duty in the paper, could one of those work in our trucks. that would be an awesome swap.
