Why is it called the "Pate" swap meet?

Just wondering, why is it called the "Pate" swap meet? I know of someone from Ft. Worth named Pate, don't know him personally, just wondering if there's a connection.

It's named after this old car museum south of FT Worth.

Pate Museum of Transportation Fort Worth Texas.

Yep, one and the same.

I've used Texas Refinery Corp. lubrication products since about 1987. Good stuff. Museum was founded by one of TRC's founders.
