Cruise Control Horn pad replacement

So, I was told about the horn pad replacement and plug and play capability by just getting a new horn pad w/ cruise on it.
I pulled off my horn pad tonight and all I saw were two wires going to the horn and no other electrical cord or cable.
Am I missing something or do I need to dig deeper?
If not how far down do I need to swap out with a truck that does have the cruise on it to get the wiring harness for cruise?
Thanks,
fletch

Yes from what I have heard just remove the horn pad and install a CC horn pad. The CC pad only has 3 wires I beleive and its just one plug.

BTW Jim you need 1 more post for 3K!! hit it!

I guess I am confused slightly.
All that is under my pad is two wires. Do I only need the cc horn pad or do I need a new steering wheel?
Thanks a bunch.

So the new cc pad will have the three wires.
I see the two wires coming out of your steering wheel but I only have two.

Okay I found the three pins but I don't have the three wires. Does the new horn pad come with the three wires?
This is where I got confused.
So, it looks as if everything is there for the cruise except the three wires and the horn pad.

so just to make sure I understand this correctly... if we do NOT have CC we should only have 2 wires correct?
