Engine swap 2018 6.7 into F450 2012 truck
Hey guys, first time here on the forum
I recently got my hands on a 2018 6.7 pulled from a F350 with a trans included. I have a 2012 F450 with a blown engine and I was wondering
Is it possible to install this 2018 engine into the 2012 F450 I got in the yard?
I’ve successfully swapped my 2011 F250 with a 2015 one already, which is why I was curious about it.
anyhow, thanks!

UPDATE: Two days later I managed to get the truck successfully up and running. I completed the engine swap with a buddy of mine today. The only issues I had were some minor adaptations that weren’t a huge hassle. I didn’t have donor a/c lines so I had some adapted at a shop in town, and had to cancel a few extra water hoses here and there plus this engine has two alternators instead of one. The truck started up and she sounded brand new. I’m excited to get this thing back to work doing hotshots.
TLDR; You CAN install a 2018 6.7 into a 2012 6.7. The one I got was sold nearly complete. Turbo, egr, alternators, etc. Had to adapt a few parts but otherwise runs and sounds great.
