Got my advance cover today

Recieved my advance cover today and got it installed. Install took about 1/2 hour. They changed the design on it now and have two rails that run along the bed for all of the latches and the hinge. They also have the latches attached to the tumbler instead of the lever coming out of the seal. Got some pics, it is raining cats and dogs tonight so we will see how it does.

yeah, the updated design looks much better. That weatherstrip seal that you put on top of the bed rail looks much better than the original design. So you have to use your key to open the cover every time? I guess they don't offer the 2-panel design for the Screw anymore?

I have the 2-panel Advance on my Screw that I got in 2004. With the latches sticking out through the seal, it does let in some water.

Well the tumbler has tabs on both sides to twist to get the cover open, so you can leave it unlocked and open without the key. I forgot to get a pic of that. They do still offer the 2 panel, the 4 panel is brand new, I only found 2 places to purchase it from online and ended up ordering it from truckchamp.com. The cover had to be backordered directly from Advance cover. When I spoke with them they told me it was only the 2nd or 3rd one they have made in the 4 panel and it would take a bit die to the new style coming out, new machines/programs ect. It took about 3.5 weeks to recieve it. The only thing I am waiting on is to see how the water drains, the install video show a Chevy, and cutting the outer seal shorter and the water takes the path down the stake pockets to drain, I may have to go a little longer with the extra weatherstripping to get it to drain another way.

It looks like FoldACover's older design. Is it plastic or powdercoated aluminum?
