engine probably sucked in water and bent or broke some of the internals.
then the water damage to the interior, not irrrepairible, just alot of $$
those engines are around 15-25K
If unit was submerged the whole truck will be full of electrical problems, same as from the USA hurricanes. That was so bad that the Canadian Customs put a halt to the importation of those vehicles, water causes alot of hard to repair damage to the wiring, electrical components and even the upholstery. The only difference might be if the US vehicles had salt water damage while this one maybe damaged with fresh water.
Water damage in any new vehicle is no fun. These things are walking (umhhh driving) computer processers. You could have a submerged 77 F250 running in a day and deal with its rotting wires for a lifetime but these newer trucks would introduce new headaches throughout its lifetime. No fun ....Unfortunetly if this truck was under water it would be a money pit unless it fell in the right hands. (ie someone with a yard full of them)
Ya I drove hook small and heavy in MB for about 9 years their alot to say about water damage. Most trucks if they sumerge to the steering collum they mark for Ireparable. Just as well to many problems. And then if they go though the ice partly they make a mess of the undercarriage. As they go in or when getting them out. The fun ones are the ones that go in totally and in 30-40 ft get a contactor with air bags and diver, just float them under the ice and cut the ice out at the shore. Not easy but works.
if a person got it for the right coin though, it would be worth stripping it down and rewiring it and putting a new engine in it no?? maybe too much work and headache...
