5.4 2v and 5.4 3v crankshaft compatibility

I have 2012 Expedition EL Limited, 251k it just spun no.1 and 2 rod bearings, no loss of oil pressure, just a slight tap that a 21 year old tech said was timing chain noise ( I’m older and have heard rod tapping before so I knew that wasn’t the case), got it home, dropped the oil pan and of course some plastic from the chain tensioners in the pan and 1 and 2 welded to the crank, I have access to several 5.4 2v’s will the cranks swap? I know some 3v are forged and most 2v are cast, but other than that, any compatibility issues? Thanks

JMO but I wouldn't even mess with it. Everything is worn in that motor. Your rods might be ruined as well. All the cam drive stuff is toast....

I'd look for a reman with a decent warranty from someone with a decent reputation.

Thumbs up Thank you for the reply

I do intend to rebuild the engine, and have it out and already disassembled. I was thinking since I had access to 2-5.4 2v with low miles I would rob a crank out of one if it was compatible, I haven’t taken apart one until I was sure as they are both low mile engines. There is no saving the current crank in my opinion so was just looking for a budget friendly solution.
