MAF conversion '90 F150 302 AOD
I want to do a MAF conversion on my pickup, but I'm really not willing to put 1200$ into it just to do so as per these directions/guidelines:

I don't mind doing work, how can I do this conversion without spending a small fortune? If its gonna cost more than $750 then I'll just convert it to carburetor like I had planned after the stroker build. Everyone online apparently uses some expensive sub-harnesses and stuff.

This can be done with junkyard parts. You need a mustang computer, MAF meter, and a wiring harness to pull the wires you need from. These can then be plugged into your existing truck harness and you're good to go. The biggest apparent problem is getting the wires out of the EEC connector without trashing the pins, but even this is no big deal with an extraction tool. You'll find these at electonics parts stores and online. The tool slides on over the wire and when you push it up into the back of the connector it depresses the little barbs that keep the pin in the connector block, the wire then easily pulls out of the block without damaging the pin.
