Same old,same old location with stock Edge pod.
I've seen some custom installs but I like mine where I can see the gauges without taking my eyes off the road.

Took my ashtray out an mounted mine there. I didn't like the idea of having it easily visable from outside the truck.

No but it's easier to take a quick glance towards the A pillar without loosing sight of the road than it is to look up or down at gauges and then have to refocus on the road.I also said quick glance,I don't stare at the edge for any great length of time.
I guess I'm just comfortable with it there because my boost gauge and knock gauge are on the a-pillar in my GNs so after 20 years of driving my GNs I'm used to glancing over at the A-pillar area to see my boost and knock gauges without loosing focus of the road.
I suppose you could buy some suction cups and mount it on the windshield if your worried about taking your eyes off the road for a split second.

yep..when those chebbys pull up next to you and they see it they stay off of you..but when they dont see it and its in there..well another ford in the winners circle..nice setup too
