how much would a 1977 Ford Bronco be worth, if it's in excellent condition? it's in original condition or built to original standards? they are asking $12,500 dollars, it just doesn't seem to be worth that much, it's an ugly green, too.
Probably worth it, if it is in mint condition, all original, low miles, maybe a sport or ranger package. If you're looking for a nice little cruiser and have that kind of extra money I'd do it, stock ones are getting hard to find. I wouldn't buy it thinking I was gona make a trail rig out of it.
I am also looking for a stocker, uncut, for my girlfriend to drive around in the summer, I will probably try to find a project, can't really afford one all done.
If it is original, highly optioned and in great shape $12K may even be a bit low.
The 77 model is the most sought after (of the production Broncos), being the last year and the most refined. Ranger package Broncos from 73 up also bring good money for stockers. I know of a couple of lower mileage original Ranger packages that sold around $30K. But they were off the showroom floor clean.
Even the modified Broncos can bring good money if they are built right. There was one that sold in the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale auction for $45000 in January. I think the bidding frenzy got out of control on that one. And I know of several in the past couple of years that sold for the mid $20's.This is good for the Bronco market, but it can also be bad at the same time. Now, every Joe with a part out worthy Bronco thinks they are sitting on a gold mine. And the prices reflect that.
Depends on where and what condition and what you are paying for. If it's got a solid metal body and everything works, people are gonna want 12k for it, especially a stocker resto rig or one that's modified and done well. Considering its painted well, no rust, repairs are all quality and it's hard doored I'd say that's fair East Coast pricing. If you are in Cali...... 12 is probably what people want for these things if they work and can pass CARB and are in above average condition. Middle America... a little salty unless its awesome.
Make sure the thing is cherry before you shell out for something. Take it to a body shop or mechanic you trust and knows old cars every which way and get a consult.
I have parted out a few EBs and they Are a gold mine. I have sold 2 D44s complete for $650 each. A good 9 third member will fetch $250-$350 depending on ratio/LS. Empty 9 housing for a street rod, $150 easy. Electric wiper linkage with motor $125. Complete doors with glass, preaty strait no rust $250 each.
The list goes on and on.
There is one panel that still is not reproduced and that is a Steel Hood.
I have one that came off of my 68 that I stripped to bare metal and It is flawlessly strait. I have been saving it for 12 years. I would say it is worth $400 dollars.
