New to this forum
I have been reading this forum for several months now and have gotten the urge to restore an old pickup. I have made my living for the past 45 years working out of a pickup and am nearing retirement so I thought I would like to drive around in a '52 Ford pickup.
I bought one last week and drove to Denver to trailor it back to California. Can't wait to get started and with all the information and willing people on this forum it should be fun.

Welcome Steve...
congratulations on your soon to be obsession. If you golf or fish or hunt or enjoy time with your family you might as well start selling off those hobbies. This one will dominate your waking and sleeping hours..
don't let that scare you off... we have a support group. You'll find the most helpful collection of expert fabricators, engine gurus, bodywork artiste's, nare-do-wells, misfits and procrastinators but to a person will do anything they can do to help you. Including teasing, ragging and laughing at you to your face.
You've joined a elite group.. enjoy yourself. Since you've been lurking you surely know about the tech section with articles and the search function can keep you busy for days. There are several good 'overview' type FAQs that deal with suspensions, engines, paint codes and such.
Make yourself at home and consider yourself family. Which of course means the next gathering is at YOUR house. It' this Saturday, by the way.
