Proceedure for changing fuel filter

I recently began running B99 for almost 2 tanks worth. I already picked up some spare fuel filters. I feel as though I might as well change the filter out soon before I strand myself somewhere. What is the proper proceedure to follow when doing so and are there any special tools I need?
Thanks

It's less than a one beer job, for most people. Takes me six. On purpose.

This week it was 4.39 for B99 compared to 4.98 for the regular stuff.

Racor makes the OEM filters for Motorcraft. Just make sure you lube the
o-ring and position it right. Things can get ugly in a hurry if you get a leak .

I noticed that there are some filters out there that are All-In-One, i.e. the element and lid come as one unit. Anyone try one of those yet ?
