351W exhasut cut outs

soon when i get some money i wanna run true duals on my 1995 f150 351, i want to run exhasut cut outs behind the headers. but i have an o2 sensor before my cat on the truck now. in order to run the truck right so the truck will run fine, will i be able to run the open headers by having an o2 sensor behind or in front of the cut outs. cause when i put the headers on i ran it for a few second open headers without the o2 sensor in and it ran terrible, any input would be very helpful
thanks alot
matt

The sensor needs to be several inches infront (up stream) of the cut out. The O2 sensor needs to only register the exhaust gases, too close to open air and the computer will believe the engine is running very lean and richen the A/F.
