Regulator Spring
I believe this is for the fule regulator Ebay Item number: 290215357736 . Would this do any good for a early 99 truck with a slight hesitation on take off? Some times more than a hestitation, just outright dies and starts right back up.

That would be way farther down on my list of things to look at for a hesitation.
Start with checking for boost leaks, full of oil(and fresh), new fuel filter, tranny filled to correct level (fresh fluid),CPS recall, and checking the throttle position sensor, if none of that is the problem then we need to look at fuel pressure.

sound more like the harness going to the VC or the UVC harness..
