I would never go gas, if I had to buy a car it would be a diesel VW.

I`ll bet he bought it as a theft recovery!

But even if it was all original, which it isn`t. I don`t think an 03 XLT diesel was $40k! when new. At best it may be worth $30K. my buddy paid $38K for a new (50mi.) Eddie Bauer V-10 back in nov. 05.

BTW, check out the rear view. see the old caddy sittin out front on the lawn? doesn`t look like the most desireable neighborhood. and those are the ugliest wheels that could ever have been installed on the X. and they`re factory! there`s more to the story for sure.

Oh yeah, gas is much better than a diesel. and cheaper to operate to. up to a $1 less per gallon for gas in some areas!

Yes it has the 7.3 according to the description. Also, I have an '03 LImited w/ the PSD and I have the standard mirrors w/o lights unfortunately. Something is deffinately fishy about this add.....IMO.

At a dollor per gallon difference they are equal in fuel cost to operate, but the most I have ever seen in my area is 70 cents difference. That makes it about 3 cents a miles cheaper to run than a gasser, unless i drive 65 then the difference goes up.

I agree mud......I love my diesel but dino is getting pricey. I would never consider selling it, but I am looking into making Biodiesel to offset the costs......

Remember everything costs more up north of the border. But for comparison I just paid $35k for my '05 LTD diesel with only 6700 miles on it. Sometimes there are some deals to be had out there.

I have an 03 Limited 7.3l and the trailer towing mirrors were just like that. Dealer agreed to change them out for later model with turn signals in them. Mine was built in Oct 2002, I bought it in Nov 2002 for $45,000 was stickered at $52,000.

I don't know how bio-diesel would run up here in the north. Might freeze up, diesel just got to $3.90 here in AK and hopefully there will be some kind of law put in soon to stop this BS gas price crap that is happening. I have to pay about $130 to top of from 1/4 of a tank almost once a week.Im glad im not in the lower 48.
