Need some casting number ID

I'm looking at buying a 460 that has been torn apart by a friend of mine. I pulled the casting numbers and I'm just wondering what all we have to work with.

Block: D1VE-A28
Heads: D8VE-A2A

He says the motor was pulled out of 71 Lincoln. He was going to build it for a pulling truck, but now I'm going to put in in my next trail rig. All I'm wanting to do for it is to warm it over, throw on LP or EFI, and run it. Nothing crazy, just want a good reliable big block.

I do have everything to the engine, but it all has been disassemled, but I can get more casting numbers if need be.

well the heads are probably D3VE, and if so then it wasn't the original engine in a 71 anything. that combo would be 73-78

I'll take another look at the heads today and confirm that.
