Boat insurance is cheaper than auto insurance. Just waiting to hear if they start spot checking fuel tanks again like they were down around Longview a few years ago. That would be my concern. Heard a wierd one from the wife, somebody is stealing used cooking oil from resteraunts??
Yeah ... I wonder how many fuel tanks are "discretely plumbed" into an in-bed diesel trasfer tank ...
As a side note: Yesterday my Jeep blew a hole in the radiator ... I love STOP LEAK ... So much for my cheap daily driver ... I think $ 200 should cover it tho ... And I just found out that Jeep (AMC) had a 2.5L L4 diesel .... Probably be impossible to find one running now tho ...

I have found three in Canada with out too much looking... I am into the Jeeps as well as the trucks... Those little diesels are an awesome motor! A buddy of mine had one a couple years back in his Xj.
Good little engine, but it's got a crappy wrapper. AMC shouldn't have been allowed to build anything past the AMX, especially when partnered with Renault.
You couldn't pay me to touch another XJ.
I paid over $5 (significantly over) for off-road diesel the other day. Turns out the smoking problem with my steam cleaner was due to the thinner low sulfur fuel. Of course, now I have to go to one rental store to get there fuel at about the highest price in the area.

Jared... being somebody who works at a rental shop, I wouldnt buy off-road diesel from there. We usually jack up the price of fuel as incentive for customers to bring machinery back full of fuel (we charge $5.50/gal diesel, $5.00/gal unleaded, and $3.50/gal propane). If you want a bulk storage tank, PM me... my dad's got a diesel tank from the farm that he may part with, so you can buy off-road in quantity by either putting it on a trailer or having it delivered bulk by your local petroleum distributor (is it Pettit Oil in Bremerton?). All you would need is a stand for the tank and minor plumbing (valve, filter/water separator, and hose & nozzle). Let me know if you're interested.
Oh, and when you run off-road in your steamer, you will definitely want to use an anti-soot additive to the fuel so your coils don't load up and get dirty. Cleaning coils is a pain in the a$$!
