I know there are alot of variables, but just wanted to here how much you guys are getting. I am trying to see how hard it is going to be to get the oil and if it is worth it for me.

How much fuel do you burn in a week or month?

Collect that much oil plus 20%.

 

What someone else can collect and what you can
collect while sitting in front of your computer is
rather nonsence! Get out and nose around behind
a few restraurants and report back how wonderfully
you've done!!

 

You have to see, I go back and forth between Arkansas and Alabama on my two farms, I can collect way more in Alabama, in Arkansas the companies have everyone under contract. I spend 1 day a week collecting grease and can collect anywhere from 100-300 gallons a day.

 

I presently collect 3-500 gallons per week from 28 resturants in 2 states, and this year will grow enough canola to make 30,000 gallons.

 

I collect between 14 and 16 gallons a week. I also get around 30 gallons a year from the Lent fish fries at church. I usually have a surplus (I carpool with another guy to work). Don't go sucking it out of dumpsters, it is illegal. Once it goes into the grease dumpster, it is property of the rendering company (no matter what the restaurant owner says).
