Diesel Kleen- how to measure?
I bought a bottle of DK in the gray bottle on our last Wally-World run and I was just curious how everyone measures out how much to dump into the tank. I've thought about buying a small measuring cup and using that- do I need to be that precise or should I just SWAG it? Also, do you carry your bottle of DK in the truck to add when you fill or just add when you get home? I don't have any storage other than behind the rear seat FWIW.

yes, with the ULSD it helps to lubricate the fuel more...however, as you may have read in the chart reseraching fuel additives, it is not on of the highest ranking..im sure someone will follow me in with that link
a trucker i know runs DK in every tank, and he has pinned it at about a .4 mpg increase using DK vs straight diesel, which to you probably not worth it but to truckers, more so than not

Well I got a little Steralite brand (tuperware type) box that I keep in a rubberized wire rack that I have ratchet strapped down behind the cab in the bed. In the box I keep 3 little 10 oz water bottles (kid size) and 2 funnels in. One funnel is large enough to fit in the fuel tank the other has a small opening for the water bottles. I buy the 96 oz. DK bottles and I put 10 oz. in every time I fill up until I have only 6 oz. left. I use that last little bit on a half tank fill up at most. 10 oz. per fill up seems to be working pretty well. I have run it down to less than an 1/8th of a tank and used that amount but usually fill up with about 1/4 tank to go.

I use the 96oz jug and keep it in the tray behind my back seat. I bought a graduated funnel (at WM IIRC) with a valve at the bottom. Turn off the valve, fill with the appropriate amount of DK (I use 12oz every tank since that gives me 8 treatments per 96oz bottle), turn on valve, then flush the funnel with fuel. I then continue fueling up the truck normally, wipe out the funnel, put the handy caps that came with it back on (both ends are covered), and put it and the DK back in the tray behind the back seat. By then, I'm about ready to trickle the last bit of fuel in to top off the tank to the neck. I kind of got into a routine, so it's pretty much a mindless task now.
