Not just a mopar swap, everything under the sun will be there. Gets bigger every year and we still have the huge May swap meet to look forward to.

as long as it doesn't snow too much like they are predicting i will be there hoepfully.

but never fails, every year it snows for the March one and the Oct one they hold and makes the roads undriveable.

Without extra money now it is just a place to limp around.

You want to meet up anywhere ?

It's held at the Westerner facility on the south end of Red Deer, same complex the Rebel hockey games are held just off the Delburne road.

it is at the Westerner Park. can't miss it.

not sure what time i will be there, depends on what time i get my lazy a** out of bed in the morning. hoping to leave Edmonton by 9 latest. can meet for lunch or at the swap meet if you want.

find that 50% stuff there is Chevy (mostly SBC with a few BBC stuff thrown in), 30% mopar stuff (mostly RB stuff with a little small block stuff) and the rest SBF with one or two guys selling BB ford stuff (460 and the FE stuff).

can be some good bargains depending on what you are after, but some people there think there used and abused parts are worth their weight in Gold. they are usually the ones bringing the same stuff back year after year.

I have been known to say to some that I have noticed they still have something I saw 2-3 years ago: " Let me know when you are tired of hauling that part home and back here every year"

I'll buy it for (This much $ ) but not what you're asking for it

Sorry to have missed you, Dennis. Hope you're feeling better. Have to catch you for coffee some other time. It was like usual, mostly chev and dodge. Saw a fair 32 Ford pickup cab and doors for someone with too much money burning a hole in their pocket-$1800. I picked up a dual snorkel mustang air cleaner and some other small stuff. The best part was right at the end, when I spotted a 71/72 grill surround I hadn't seen yet-must have walked past it half a dozen times but it had been buried in a pile of slick(61-6) sheet metal. Straightest one I've seen in a while with minor road rash and fine scratches. Made a good deal on that, a straight bumper and a 66 hood and doors, mainly just to save them going to harpers scrap metal, as that was where they were going if not sold. If anyone wants a decent pair of doors for their slick, they will be available very cheap

it was not too bad, if you were into Chevs and Dodges. tons and tons of BBC and BBD parts.

there was some nice stuff there, but pricing was all over the place. some really good deals and some that you gotta shake your head at. they think it is made of gold. what gets me is people trying to sell their vehicles. unless it has 10lbs of gold hidden in the trunk, it ain't worth close to what they are asking. case in point, 66 or 67 Fairlane 390 GT, guy was asking $8900 for what admitily was a fairly solid car, but needed a complete restoration and even then would only be worth about 20 - 25K tops. worth maybe 3k tops the way it sat.

did pick up some 460 DOVE heads for $400. they were rebuilt heads with guide plates and adjustable studs. he had a rebuilt 460 short block to go with it for $700 total (heads and block) that i didn't want to pay that much as it had bad crank in it. he finally gave it to me for $100. he is bringing it up this weekend as i had my Probe and there was no way it was going to haul that.

so now i have a short block needing a new crank (has flat top pistons in it, not sure on cam) that i will probably throw a crank in and recoup my costs.

sorry to here you weren't feeling good, that sucks. maybe next time.

Rgds
Mike
