5:50 AM, and they opened the galley 20 minutes ago. I'm real tired of plastic looking eggs, pork and beans, stewed tomatoes, bacon that you can patch the soles of your boots with, cold pancakes that the taste is next to impossable to discribe, guess it's either Rice Crispies or Oat Meal AGAIN.

No these are the fine epecurian delights they serve here. Boot camp meals were better and I'd rather eat C or even K rats than tthis stuff sometimes.

I'd think by now you'd be stashing a few MREs in your baggage, given the, uh, diverse culinary experiences of these areas.

Eric, if you need some MRE's, let me know. I have about 6 in the cabinet in the garage. I think 4 more years before they expire. Then, poof they disappear

Had to do the MRE thing when I was at Pendleton, really strange thing those self heating packages but I used to like the old ham and lima beans from the old C-Rats. Good those Luck strikes were real raspy by then though. Yea I thoght about it but how do you get them to let you load a 60 day supply on the chopper with a full load of personnel.

as far as this price per litter i dont like it... i just bought a 63 ford... and spent 150 to get the title transfered...

but i dont think the idea of paying a price for how many miles you drive yearly would work out either... my dad drives 100 miles round trip for work monday though friday... thats 500 miles a week that equals about 23000 miles per year i do belive[he gets alot of time off and what not so not a full year] plus trips around town... but he might agree on the tax on the size of the motor... he drives a 65 barracuda with a slant 6...

and what about those of us who drive their trucks on dirt roads more then the highways and free ways.... so far this year, i have drove 5.51 miles on actual black top... and maybe 50 miles on dirt roads

i dont think the toll boths would be a bad idea though...

i really really really wish i didnt screew up last year and end up with a felony now... so that if this bill made it to public voting, i could vote on it [thats how it works right??? threw the house and the senate, then to the public, then it becomes a law???

Need to bite the bullet and do a fuel tax and that's the most equeable way. Those of us that have high fuel consumption pay more and those that don't pay less and all the damned tourist pay their share too. It's like trying to get Oregonians to do a sales tax though. They can't see the state is bankrupt and the roads are self distructing. Hell we're still cheaper the EU.

i can agree on that one to myself..

and on a side note, if the state wants us to use the transit system...... GOSH!!! i ride community transit almost every other day..... and its so unreliable.. one day the dang thing will come right on time... the next day... its half an hour late... then the next day... its 10 minutes early... ive tried taking the bus before the one i need to take, to get to where i need to go on time[its 30 minutes between each bus] and thats not working for me either.... so ive been leaving my house an hour early when ever i need to take a bus, cause they are UN-RELIABLE!!!

We could always use more speed bumps. I have an excellent source, could probably ship a couple of containers of them and nobody would even notice, god knows they keep slowing me down.
