Northern Classic Truck beds?

Has anybody bought a complete bed from Northern Classic trucks? Were you happy with the price, quality, service, shipping? Thinking of buying one for my 52 F1. My buddy wants one for a 39. Appreciate any feedback. http://www.northernclassictrucks.com/index.htm

I've never heard anything but good about their beds. Not sure but I think they are made by Mar-K.

I thought they make all their own parts but you could be correct.

I bought stake side parts for a F-600 I restored. The quality was fine. The negative part was the response and shipping time. I made repeated calls, over several weeks, with broken promises on delivery times before I finally got the parts. The concern was that I was trying to gey this truck done for a national ATHS show.

I got a complete, assembled bed from them for my 48 and the quality is excelent.

It was shipped truck frieght though fed-ex freight. It was very well crated in a huge wooden box that just bairly fit in the bed of my 79 f-350 4x4.

I got mine for my 55 from them last summer.. see my gallery.

very nice.. I wish they had the option to close the front panel upper crossbar. I should have cleaned and primed immediately.

thinking of making my own for my 54. metal prices have sky-rocketed lately

I bought a Mar-K bed during their March Madness sale (free shipping) in 2004. I have been very happy with it.

Hey, Thanks for all the replys. My buddy is going to go ahead and order his bed from Northern as Mar K doesn't make a bed for a 39. I'll keep an eye out for the free shipping when I get ready to buy mine.

Number one in my book. I bought one for my 55. Had them swap the 55 tailgate for the older style with script letters. Well created and well made.

Has anyone on here ever attempted to make their own bed? I've seen galleries where members have fixed parts of the bed and it turned out really good. It would be pretty nice to build your own bed from scratch. I'm sure it is pretty doable but I guess the tools would be a big expense for basically one project. It would be interesting to see a gallery of someone that did that.
