truck got broken into last night

and they broke the driver's side vent window. I don't think they took anything but, I need to replace the vent window.
I have found a used one. Does anyone know how you get that out of there?
Thanks,
Fletch

what about those bolts on the door frame?
Seems as if those hold it in?

Is riveting it out the only way?

Sorry to hear about your truck Fletch. When something like that happens it realy pi$$s a guy off. Did you check your Ignition real closely for tampering?

There was something in or about your truck that that "Adam Henry" (AH) wanted.

I take it that you do not have an alarm or maybe it wasn't activated.

The wind wing should be a quite simple fix.

Yep. I do have an alarm and it probably went off. that is why my battery was so dead this morning.
I didn't notice anything wrong with ignition. the column still locked fine.
The door was unlocked this morn. so they probably broke the window then opened the door and then the alarm went off. Nothing was gone, not even the stereo.
I just can't understand why the dumb A$$ didn't see the big blinking blue light in the window that signified it was alarmed.

Anyway, I need to get the window fixed and need to know if I have to rivet it out or not.

Maybe he can get you one if yours doesn't pan out.
Good Luck.

the frame does not have to be replaced to fix the window. if the frame is still in good shape, clean all the glass out, pull out the gasket, put the gasket on the new piece of glass, spray some lubricant in the frame and on the gasket and press the glass into the frame. it's quite easy to do. if i remember right, lmctruck sells the glass for less than $20

LMC is great and a cheap fix. I didn't think to just replace the glass. Reps sent.

thats why i dont lock my doors...lol i had my side window busted out on my mustang one time so someone could steal a pack of cigarettes that were sitting on my dash board, id rather replace a stereo or other piddly things that most thiefs go for than replace a window, and if they steal the whole truck ill pay my 500 dollar deductable on my full coverage insurance but most thiefs go for piddly **** alot more often than they try to steal the entire vehical and if they are going to steal it there going to do it doors locked or not
