Has anyone bought any Air Tools from Princess Auto? I have been buying some of their hand tools when they come on sale and find the quality is not to bad so I was thinking about trying one of their 1/2 inch impacts. They are definatly cheaper than Mastercraft and Craftsman but will they stand up?
Fantastic! Think I will give them a try. I really am a fan of Mastercraft but I really don't need the "Lifetime Warranty" for what little work I do on the ATV's and the truck.
Have a Good One!
The Princess stuff takes a good beating plus they have a good return policy. I busted up my vice and they exchanged it no questions. As for sockets I have had mine for 4-5 years now and not broken one. I have an IR impact that wore out before they did. I use a UAP impact now. ... so my no name impact and power fist sockets are getting the job done.
Try em out,
TFC
The princess auto tools do come with a lifetime warranty from what I hear, but I have and do continue to break them. For anything that I know is gonna be tight I do not grab them as I already know I will break it, but for just light duty stuff, they're OK
I haven't really purchased from princess auto. I did only buy one thin which was my luggage box. The air-tight black powder-coated lockable storage box. I sure was scared seeing that big 18 wheeler deliver the box to my house. Not a problem at all. I bought a soft rubber mat for the inside to prevent it from scrathing. Welded it onto the truck and done.
If you're a deal shopper. Consider bosstools. They're online, free shipping and Ontario based company. I purchased a whinch from them a yr ago.
I get tools from princes auto when there on sale.for the price I can't complain.
There is a 3/8 Impact on sale for $29.99 starting March 25. I am going to order it for working on smaller stuff... Like Snow Blowers.... STILL
Thare is a good deal on "Security" screwdriver bits as well.
Nice Find!
That's one thing about NOT having a Princess Auto Store in town... I don't get to browes the "Surplus" area. Hopefully we will get one soon though.
Princess Auto will replace anything regardless of how long ago you bought it.
Crappytire(Mastercrap) & Sears(Crapman) Have a set of hoops you have to jump thru before you'll get anything replaced. I had a set of Mastercrap tools I bought 2 christmases ago, and I broke one of the ratches, no way in h3ll would Crappy tire replace it. They said I used excessive force and it wasnt their responsiblity to replace a tool from excessivle damage...
I buy all my tools from Princess, WHEN I break them, I take them back. No questions.
