Not to mention something else is the system that is attached to the gas pedal in those cars, that is what controls the throttle, these cars do not have drive by wire, it is all electronic signals to the PCM.

Are you speaking just of the `03 & up CV's. I haven't dealt with any passive antitheft systems in a long time. According to what I have read, the older cars (including my Mark VIII donar) do not have this type of system. Is that true?

03 i believe was the last year they had a cable opperated throttle body before they went to the drive by wire. mine is an 03 cable throttle body motor. ive got a set of return style fuel rails from an eirlier mustang (96-98) and regulator in the mail right now which was what i was planning on using, i would think that you could get the motor running without the pump and module. i know it'll throw codes but thats nothing a tune cant take care of, not %100 percent on that thow, we will see. i do know that i have seen mustangs switch over to a return style fuel setup thow.

I trashed the module and the pump with the car so if i cant get the return system to work on the ECU i will prolly go ahead and get a megasquirt and manual shift valve body for the trans rather than strip out all my plumed fuel lines and pump.

I also started a thread HERE on what to do on these motors in older trucks. Hope this helps

I can't speak for the newer cars but at least for 2003 the police interceptor version didn't have PATS. My donor car is a 2003 CVPI and it doesn't have it.

i have read this forum and your info and work are awesome, planning the same suspension swap in my 67... after hours of reading this whole forum i have only one question, how exactly did you get the factory clutch pedal to actuate the hydraulic clutch master cylinder for the T-56? I have read this thing backwards and forward and can't find a good pic or explanation. i am sure it was simple but i am just having a hard time picturing it in my mind. if you could post some pics that would be great! Thanks!!!!

AFAIK, you have about 3.5" to make up for width from stock, so each front wheel will need to be offset 1.75".

My question, is how does it handle on the open road? Any scrub radius issues?

ive been daily driving mine for a month now, and i have absolutely no clearance or handiling isuess. no issues with fender or frame clearance. my rack was acting up for the first few days, but that was because i had to work out a few bugs. it handles amazing, i love having the sway bars front and rear, i have almost no body roll in a high speed corner. im also running the 03ish mustang bullet wheels just to give you an idea.

53-56 f100 project

i have a 54 f100. i will go measure everything. i know from you that that the frame is good to go but i don't know if the fenders are wide enough, no one has posted a for sure measurment from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface. i know it is wider and i will need to run wheels with no offset like yours but i think the 53-56 is not as wide fender to fender as yours but that is unknown at this time. i have a 2000 mustang 8.8 in the back and it is a good fit it was wider but only 3 inches total and i,m sure the CV is wider then that. i plan to do a wright up like yours for the 53-56 and hope to help asmany as you have including me, thank you very much for doing it. i was 2 months from buying a mustang 2 cross member and i had looked at an 80 pinto for parts the day i found this.

Wow has taken me HOURS to read all the way through this and as people say it's awesome! this really should become a sticky. Romark I forget what you have for rear suspension. Does the irs ride that much better than the solid axle?

hell id stick with leafs in the back but get shocks with coil overs on them to stiffen it up a bit for better handling
