Actually he was an almost unknown hockey player, who liked good coffee. And had all the business sence of a hockey player, which is why the Horton Family sold the coffee shop to Wendys

This explains Tim Horton's business sense. And also why he was almost unknown as a Hockey Player...

They should just change the name to Tim Singh's There aint no Horton in there now.

For our American friends who read these threads. Tim Hortons is the Canadian version of Dunkin Donuts (without the good coffee)
