Injectors

- During the entire process, be very careful not to drop the injector or damage the fragile pintle end of the injector in any manner. Also, do not allow any dirt to enter the injector.
- Use a small pick to remove the old o-rings. Roll new o-rings on with your fingers. The black o-rings go on the top (fuel inlet) of the injector, the brown o-rings on the bottom.
- The correct order of parts on the bottom of most injectors, starting at the bottom end, is pintle cap, o-ring, yellow spacer.
- To remove the inlet screens, find a sheet metal screw that will just screw into the top of the old filter without damaging the injector body. Clamp the head of the screw into a vise and screw the injector several turns onto the screw. Rock the injector back and forth slightly while pulling firmly to remove the filter from the injector.
- Tap new filters in with a very small hammer while holding the injector body firmly in your other hand. Do not place the end of the injector against a solid surface while doing this.
- Remove pintle caps by popping them off with a utility knife or sidecutters. Again, be cautious to avoid damaging the orifice plate or pintle on the end of the injector.
- Use a 10mm socket to seat the new pintle cap onto the end of the injector after spacer and o-ring have been installed.

I would think that most Auto Parts Stores could order the kits if they do not carrier them./

After reading the instructions you posted it's easier than rebuilding a carb.
