1979 F-250 Ranger XLT
Well I just added a new Truck to the fleet i picked up a 1979 ranger F-250 XLT with 56687 miles on her she was one the sales floor at a ford dealer here in town got her for 5000.00 traded my 1999 ranger in on her the truck is cherry garage kept power windows passenger step AC/Heat trailer special very nice truck burnt orange and tan with a shell it has all the up grades like locking hood that can only be opened from in the cab side panel tool box even has the original AM radio in it saw it and had to have it it's just one of those Gems we hear about so much and can never find well i found mine finally so now i'm the owner of a 1979 F-100 Custom & a 1979 F-250 Ranger XLT will post pics as soon as the wife brings back the camera.

Someone must have added them.
Ford didn't offer power windows on F100/350's till 1981.

some one did them it's a box on each door with a motor in it that goes where the handle went its sweet anyhow I'll do some pics this weekend and post them can't ask for a nicer truck rides smooth no rattles i love it. not chopping this one it's too nice leaving it just the way it is except for the hub cap that's missing anyone got a hub cap for a 1979 F-250? let me know only need one thanks Earl W.

You can't rebuild them to this standard - somehow the miles always show. I sure wouldn't park it on the street - and would install an ignition cut-off switch.
Thieves used to carry a complete lockset with them, and just unplug your ignition switch and plug their's in. Takes about 30 seconds to pop the door lock and plug in a new switch.

Careful, there's more than one hubcap of this style and diameter.
They both look the same, but the other has a matte finish: D8TZ-1130-D.
The hubcaps were used on E250/350's and F250/350's from 1978 thru 1996.
D8TZ-1130-C is still available from Ford, but if I tell you what Ford wants for just one, you prolly won't believe me.
I almost had apoplexy when I saw the current price. It was $9.00 in 1978.
Today...it's $155.00 !!!
