Cool Engine Light no throttle response F350

Bought my 02 last year used.. About a month later, lt used to just be ln the morning truck would start, no response with throttle. Engages ln gears but won't move.. Now lt's dolng lt regardless of weather. Thls afternoon l went out to leave and had to slt 20, may be a coincidence. but l wiggled behind the gas peddle some sort of linkage and engine light went off and ran. Got 3 miles down the road dld lt agaln. Didn't wlggle cable put lt ln Neutral, to coast off road. Dropped lt ln drlve and lt drove agaln.. Then lt happened agaln. before lt only would only do thls once ln a while ln the cold mornlngs. Transmission, shop sald lt was a throttle control sensor. Does thls have to do wlth the recall or had anyone else had thls problem. Thanks.

Welcome to the FTE..

No the recall is for the CPS(cam position sensor). It does sound like you are having problems with the throttle control.

Welcome to FTE. It does sound like a problem with your throttle position sensor. That's the thing on the go pedal with the wires you jiggled. You can check the wires for any pinches or chaffing, unplug, clean, and replug the wires back in. Even remove the sensor off the pedal to inspect, clean, and make sure it's mounted properly. You may end up just having to replace the sensor.

Wires chaffing on the shock tower was my problem as well. Although I did get a good working spare pedal assembly out of the deal
