What is fix for codes P0603 & P0476

Truck has been running sluggish this last week. Had a friend pull some codes for me and 2 popped up...
A) P0603 - Internal Control Module KAM Error.
B) P0476 - Exhaust Pressure Control Valve.

I know from reading past posts that code P0603 is from having batteries disconnected. Well, I've changed batteries 2 times last month (bad batteries) so I can understand this code. Having said that, is there something more I should be doing to fix this code other than reconnecting the batteries? I read somewhere that I must have the memory "Flashed"??? Who or what is this process and any idea on cost?

Next question is, what is the fix for Code P0476 - Exhaust pressure Control Valve? Is this simply a Sensor that needs replacing?

Last question; Can one Code cause the other; that is, can code P0603 Internal Control Module KAM Error cause code P0476 Exhaust Pressure Control Valve. Can "Flashing" the computer fix both problems?

With that in mind, much of the power loss came after the new batteries were installed.

Any ideas much appreciated.
Thanks

in answer to your question to the exhaust pressure control valve, it sounds like your exhaust back pressure control valve is sticking closed. here is a website that has excellent instructions on cleaning that,http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/ebps.html.
as far as the KAM(Keep Alive Memory) code is concerned, i would not worry too much about that at the time. do you have any kind of a chip? if so that could very well give that code, i know that mine does all the time, however it does not affect the truck at all. good luck and welcome to FTE!

then my guess would be that the KAM code came from the batts being disconnected. all the same i would still check into the EBPS and tube.

the 0476 code shouldn't cause any performance problems unless the EBPV is staying closed
you can unplug it under the turbo and see if it runs any better, unless linkage is disconnected this will leave it in open position
