ring gear flip-show how to with pics
this will save ya a few bucks if your starter chewed up the teeth on your ring gear,sorry they arnt the best pics
set on a block to keep it off the bench notice clutch side up
heat evenly all the way around gear
tap gear off fly wheel,tap evenly around
gears off
flip gear and fly wheel over
recenter on flywheel
reheat
tap back on
tap gear ALL the way down
this just took me about 30 mins to do that included goin out and diging threw the junk pile for the flywheel and getin out the tools to do it

I've done that too. I was in a hurry to put the ring gear back on while it was still hot. I flipped the flywheel on my welding table, with the clutch side down. I should have used blocks like wizzard, because the welding spackle on my table left some nasty divots in the clutch surface. Had to re-surface it!

how much heat are we talkin here? cuz it looks like mine is welded on. and how do you get to the flywheel in the first place? do you have to drop the tranny and yank the torque converter?
