Oh, I forgot to tell you it is 1/10 scale RC Nitro 4x4, HPI. I'll order a F350 body for it soon.
But I'm back to thinking of updating my 1986 F250 4x4. This possible smog deal has started me thinking about it. I really like the 1996-97 F250 4x4. But I would like a V10 so those two won't mix. I'll either have to settle for a fuel injected 460 or move up to a newer year. I have found a few 1996-97 F250 4x4 460s for around $7000. I put my Dodge up for sale on Craig's list to see if there are any bites. Once I update then the 1986 F250 will go on the block. I'm not at all into any Navstar diesel. The only diesel I would even consider would be a Cummins. I have thought of a Chevy with the 6.0L gas engine. But I'm pretty sure I will stay BLUE OVAL TRUE. Ford builds a better 4x4 IMO of the newer trucks.

I don't hold that against you. I have no problems with Chevy's. My wife commutes with a Chevy Lumina that has 234,000 miles. She drives from Kingman to Bullhead City to work. We have owned a Trailblazer. The best 4x4 I ever owned was a 1979 CK 20 4x4. The costly 4x4 I have owned is our 1986 F250 4x4.

I think the 80-87 Ford trucks are junk. Good drive trains, But interior parts junk, paint peels, fuel systems junk. I have owned several 90s Rangers & one Exploder, & 95 F150 the 90s trucks I believe were much improved over the 80s. Getting away from the IFS to a straight axle will be an improvement.
