Bought a new car today..

No, not going to sell my Excursion.. Need it to pull my trailers and haul my motrocycles to the track and desert.

But it's definitely going to be doing quite a bit of just sitting.

Picked up a 1991 Nissan NX... According to fuel economy.gov, this thing gets like 35 miles to the gallon. I do alot of 120 mile round trips that were eating my wallet alive with the Ex.

140k on the clock, picked it up for $1400
Never been crashed. Body and intereior show 140k miles and 17 years of use, but otherwise relatively clean.
With gas going the way it is, I could probably drive this thing for the next 3 years, put 60k on it and still sell it for a grand.

I am looking to do the same thing, I am on the look out for a daily driver. I cant wait to park the X and only use it for towing. The $400.00 per month in fuel is killing me!!

I do 75 miles round trip to work everyday plus running around during lunch break. Add in weekend driving and I can hit 600 miles a week easy.

I was doing the 120 mile round trip a few times a week, I've cut it down to once or twice now. Plus a little driving around town, I am doing roughly 300 miles a week or so.
Not anywhere what it used to be, but it still is hurting the wallet too much.

I do the same thing. I drive 110 miles round trip every day to work. My work car is an '07 Subaru Legacy. AWD and about 29 MPG. I only drive my Ex on the weekends or towing my TT during the summer. I drove it this past weekend for the first time in three weeks. Gas is way too high to drive the beast every day.
