How come you can't get Wix filters at Advance,Auto Zone etc.? They only carry Fram and a few other brands.

 

Because the chain stores(autozone,advance auto, ....) are not Wix dealers.

 

You can get the Wix fuel filters at Advance and any other store affiliated with partsamerica.com. The filter is part # 33518. Also, if you ever need a filter/separator cap for any reason its part # 24232 and a lot cheaper than the dealer.

Also, the Napa Gold FIL 3518 fuel filter is the same filter made by Wix.

I do know there were issues with the Wix filters a while back when they had changed to a square cut lid seal and a weak grommet-like lower seal which tended to split. I'm sure they corrected it since that was 3-4 yrs ago.
