does anybody know of a suspension lift on a 96 f150 thats bigger than 8". i wanted to go straight axle and just straight mud buts thats not in my budget right now. a 10" would be great. help!
ok first off, i aint no enginneer (not yet atleast) but 10" of lift on a TTB suspension just aint a good idea from the start, high stress on the suspension with that much of a lift, second, with 10" of lift what size tires do you plan on running, ur gunna need some pretty big meats unless u just wanna look funny when driving around, the tire size that will look best is not gunna be safe to run on a ttb suspension, take a look at the threads a little further down, do some reading and researching before u waste our time

im gonna run 40" boggers..
but im only in high school. and i need a mud truck. gotta show up the chevys on 40" boggers in the parkin lot.
im lookin at spendin no more than 3k on suspension, axles and diff goodies .. what can i do as far as suspension wise that will keep me out of the hole. would a sas be better?
i plan on doin all the work myself along with a couple of well experienced guys that have been lifting trucks for as long as ive been alive.
if your gunna run 40" boggers you DEFINATLY need to do a SAS, im in highschool too, only 17 i understand where yer coming from, i dunno all the particulars for your truck, your gunna need a D60 front to run 40s though http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=29
read through those on there, then when your done ready through em again, alot of good info there that will get ya started
edit: o also judging by your name you have the 300 I6 engine, damn good engine but not sure ur gunna be able to spin the 40s in the mud with only a I6
ok say i get the dana 60. what rearend would be good with it... its gotta be beefy. but not cost an arm and a leg.. can i run two dana 60's? if i go with a SAS then its gotta be atleast 12" in the air.
go read through that link i sent you, it should answer most questions that you have i dont wanna tell you one thing and it not be true, go research, it shall yield a profit!
but can it handle the abuse im gonna put em to? i honestly wouldnt put anything but rockwells on it but i cant afford it. i need the most sturdy axle i can get my hands on that wont blow the bank. a D60 is proabably my best bet.

oh and countryboy.. if you read my sig i got a pretty built 351 sittin in my shop waitin to go in... as soon as the tranny gets done.
what im goin for here is a bada** daily driver/ good mud truck.. gas mileage isnt a problem for me.. but highway speed is.. so the highest gear i will go is 5.13
umm i wanna see the 500+hp 351 too. ive got a 351 build thats gonna be over that but its turboed and stroked too 427. to run on pump gas. you want a daily driver with that much power good luck keepin it streetable.
its a crate engine i found on summit.. the specs right now are 450 but its gonna go through boring and maybe a couple more add ons.. not completely sure what the final specs will be but its gonna be a beast. and STG: 6.72 is way too big for a daily driver.. ill be fresh outta high school. 5.13 is the biggest i will go.. i dont care about how fast it is as long as they turn and go 55 on the highway
