Diesel is expensive even if you get 17 mpg on average and I don't do that in the winter. I put less than 5000 miles on the PSD in the last 11 1/2 months. That's sad! I drive a '95 yota with 213K on it for work and to and from work. It's getting old enough that it won't average 30 mpg anymore, but it is paid for and costs less than half of what it costs per mile to drive the diesel. My other Fords are old V8 gassers and are pigs on fuel, but fun to drive.

Right now I drive a 97 Dodge Dakota 2wd. Small pickup, terrible in the winter. I got a good deal on it from my brother 3 years ago and couldn't pass it up. I had an 05 F150 until last summer when my lease was up. I let it go because I needed money to restore my 77. I would like to have the 05 back. My wife drives an 03 Explorer and she wants a Nissan Pathfinder (she doesn't like Ford because she had problems with an 02 Mustang V6 ) So, she will probably end up getting one of those Pathfinders and I will take over the 03 Explorer which I wouldn't mind. It runs on E85 which is nice.

Oh Pat I think your wife would look good in an Escape or a Fusion. I think Fords current offerings on cars an trucks are problem free an very relaible. I wouldnt go by one bad experience3 with a Mustang to turn me away from Ford. Hey sorry for the interjection here. I always try to steer people away from the foreign brands if at all possible. Nothing against them just trying to help out the Big 3. Ok now for a dumb question is a pathfinder a car or a SUV.

Pathfinder is an SUV.......I keep taking her to the Ford lot and looking at different things. And trust me, I keep trying to get to like Ford again......BUT, she has no complaints on me spending to fix my 77, so I GUESS I can live with her driving a foreign vehicle. Looking at my 77 takes my mind of her wanting something other than a Ford. .
The Mustang was nice to drive, just had problems with the car not starting or holding an idle. Took it to the dealer 3 times and they could not find the problem.

I drive my 92 Flareside 4X4, 4.9, MOD5 and about 6 years ago had the box taken off and everything stripped down to bare metal and painted along with new chrome. I have 158,000 miles on it and am thinking of doing it again. The last time it was done they were supposed to put on gray tape instead of the pink and purple tape on the bottom. As a joke they put the pink and purple on and had their laugh. They told me to bring it back and they would put the gray stripes on but I never did and am the size of guy that no one has ever given me any remarks about having pink on my truck.
