Nothing "wrong" with them, sometimes it's just a pain to install and does nothing for ride quality.
Most off highway enthusiasts rather use the suspension system mods to alter ride quality and add performance, one thing that the body lift can't do.
Also most people do not like the space under the bed and frame, but covers can take care of that.
I can't stand to see bumpers in the stock location after a bodylift is installed.
Also a body lift alters the CG slightly, a good suspension lift of similar height can "counter" the higher CG to a certain extent.
ok cool i guess ill leave it on then. like i said im going to be doing a suspension lift and its not a DD. the body lift will help me stay out of water a little and give me a little more clearance for tires.

well i looked at doing all suspension but the only 8" suspension lift i could find was $1,399 and if i go with 6" inch its about 700 add 3" body lift for about $140 that saves a little bit.

This set up sounds better than an 11 inch body lift!
This sounds funny, but it has been done before.
You are on the right track, so keep us posted on your build.
Body lifts offer much less saftey in the total vehicle setup as the longer blocks replace the body mounts, and more length means more leverage. It is entirly possible and has happend many times to break the body off or partially off the frame in accidents, or hard wheeling. The use of grade 8 bolts will not prevent this, rather just move the weak point in the chain to the body where the mounts are attached (literally breaking off around the mounts)
Plus they are ugly
Yeah I Will Im Doing This For The First Time And Im Learning Everything On The Way But What Better Way To Learn
At least you are asking for advice! A lot of guys dont ask for advice and end up ridinf around really unsafe stuff or they really make the truck ugly as all get up... You are on a good track here...
