Hey fellas Ive got a problem that maybe someone can help. Its a 570 holley street avenger and it worked great for a long time on my bronco but rencently it would not high idle while on choke. I pulled it achecked everything out and found that the choke plate closes but the little spring that is on the primary butterfly shaft that hold the ajuster tight to the hight idle cam has poped off of werever it is supposed to be hooked to but cannot fugure out where the other side clipps too.
Sorry for long post but if anybody can post a pic of how it is supposed to go or can explain it I would really appriate it.
Oh sorry it, I just couldnt figure out how that spring clips on and also was wrong on what it does, its the unloader spring and keeps the high idle adjustment tight against the throttle shaft. If that makes sense.
I would of taken a pic but its back on the truck now.
That's cool, I think I know what you are talking about now. Sometimes it's just so dang hard to fix something from across the country that ya can't see
Try talking someyone thru electrical work on a phone.
While having nothing to look at for a reference.
Still trying to get a bit of hesitation out of the sucker, wether I roll into it easy or punch it the engine kicks back sometimes and hesitates. But I fether it it runs good or if it gets past the dead spot the it winds up fine.
