Does anyone know of an adapter for the Q-jet spreadbore carb onto the stock 4bbl 429-460 manifold?

If not, do you all have any suggestions for a carb ( 4bbl or 2bbl) that works well at extreme angles, as I plan to use my motor for 4X4 use?

 

A "Holley" with center-hung floats will work fine...do not use side hung floats. Deen

 

Do you know what model of Holley had the center hung floats?

 

Any of the "Double-Pumpers" have center hung as well as the Holley #0-3310 which is a 750 CFM with vacuum secondaries. I believe you can also convert side hung to center hung by buying a kit, check with Jegs or Summit. Conversion won't be cheap...Im guessing around $100-150. Deen

 

In answer to your question, to do what you want to do, Mr Gasket makes an adapter part # 1932. It will allow you to mount a Q-jet to your stock 429 intake.
