Smile Production Diesel Bronco

Anyone else think Ford should have made this a production truck? I would buy the thing if it was a powerstroke. It even has a dana 60 front and a F350 frame. Ebay link

Kind of reminds me of what an older version of an Excursion would have been like if they made them back then.

Weren't those called "Centurion Conversions"?

I always liked them and wondered why Ford never mass produced them. I guess they thought GM had the market cornered with the Suburban...

Yes Centurion made those. They made half ton and 1 ton version. I had a friend who had a half ton. It burned down the day before Ford issued the cruise control switch recall.

Centurion also made a OBS four door F-150 before the super crews came out.

For what that thing is going for, I would much rather have an Excursion.

I wonder how much time that person spent washing and painting the underneath of that truck? It looks like fresh paint

As clean as it is I would have to pass on this vehicle as it only has one (1) fuel tank. My credit card could not handle a single tank fill up, I needs to see those big bucks. LOL

Rog

Wouldn't be nice if it was a Turbo????

Bronco tanks are 36 gallon.

So it has plenty of fuel. $$

There is always the gasser 36 conversion for the rear tank on the gassers, not sure if the fuel pump would have to be different for diesel, but possible in that case for other enthusiasts.
