does anybody have the fpr shim install instructions?? does shim really work and how can u tell if your 7.3 diesel needs the shim mod?? benifits of?? thanks.

Fuel Pressure Regulator Shimming (under mods)

I shimmed mine and noticed a increase in power. Ford set the fuel pressure in the mid 50s psi on our trucks but International set the T444E (our engine) at the low 60s psi.

I have a fuel pressure gauge so I know where mine is running all the time. With the shim, I'm running 68 psi at idle and 64 psi at WOT. I noticed a huge difference right away.

 

Just to verify I interpreted in correctly its a 440 Socket Head screw ground down to 0.075" on the head, shaft is cut to 3/16" in length, correct? Thanks
