Lift Kit Installed On 2WD Super Duty

I posted this last week in the Super Duty section before realizing the group of 3-4 of us discussing leveling/lifting 2WD's was actually in this section.

Thought I'd share some pics of my 2wd truck after installing a Pro Comp 6" lift (3" rear). Did it by myself in the driveway, and yes it was a lot of work...

Drives great. Seems a little firmer than the mushy factory setup. The brackets make it easier to set the camber & caster. I no longer need to use all of the 3+ degree adjustment to get it right.

Also, I have the 2" spacers and almost new bilsteins that were removed to install the lift kit. I would make a sweetheart deal to any fellow FTE that shoots me a PM. They need a good home..

Before with a 2" level kit on the front:

Thanks Pete. I bought it from an older couple. It was garage kept and used to pull their 3-horse trailer. It was a real find in my book. I had a 4X4 at the time and it seemed to always have some nagging issue with the front hubs, etc.

The ride is firmer, but nowhere near as firm as my last '00 4X4 with the stiff spring package.

I always felt like my 2WD was sprung too soft....it was mushy. My wife complained it made her car sick on the interstate. She likes the new ride better. I also installed Pro Comp's steering stabilizer kit at the same time. It made a big difference too.

That looks pretty good. How much did it actually raise the vehicle? What did you pay for the kit (if you don't mind me asking)?

Thanks to all for the kind words. The shocks and spacers have been sold to a good home. Somebody asked about how much the kit cost. Street price is around $600. Add the pitman arm, steering stabilizer, cams, and you will have about $900 invested doing it yourself.

No problems to date with the lift install. I put on a set of 315 T/A KO tires and am very happy with the way everything turned out. Here is the completed look:
