1991 F Truck Tilt Steering

I bought a Tilt steering for my F350. The tilt lever is on the signal. It will not relese to tilt. Does anyone know what the problem is

You are pushing it towards the dash, right? If you have not had one of these before, you gotta apply what may seem like abnormal pressure.

agreed, have to do the same on my bronco. Bronco, F150 and 250 had the same steering column, Model years 87-91

Ditto above. Had an 84 F150 and it worked the same way. First time I used it I just knew it was going to break off because the diameter of the lever was so small. Used it for 6 years without any problems. Just push it a little harder toward the dash.
