Hummer H3T (Truck)

All the H2s and H3s I see are pavment queens. They all look butt ugly IMO. H2s are slow and gett horrible mpg, even worse than my SD.
The H1s are probably the only ones who see offroad use and few can afford them.
Go back to you Jeep forums.

Again show me an offroad ready FORD suv
You know I could say the same things about F-150's most of them are little more than grocrey getters for scoccer moms. Cause very few people really haul things in them nowdays.

Saw the ESPN program that showed the Detroit auto show.
Some shots of the 09 F150, but they featured the HX- a concept Hummer with removeable body parts. It was kind of neat, reminded me of the concept rock crawler Ford had many years ago.

For anyone who has not seen the 09 F150
heres a look at whats "new".

I sort of wish we had waited to compare them, but we're stuck with what we have for a few more years (forever, if I have any say in the matter, I don't want another new vehicle, or as Dave Ramsey says "Stupid Tax" LOL). The turning radius on the 06 is phenomenal. It'll turn so sharp it'll run into its own a$$-end! It gets pretty good mileage on the highway- about 19 mpg @ 70 mph with the A/C running. Truth is, the things aren't made for much more than having fun in. They are comfortable enough- if you're riding in the front seat- but ride in the back for a couple hours and you'll be sore for a day or so. It doesn't really have much room inside the cargo area. Enough for a family of three or four, but take the family pet and you might have a little trouble. All in all, I like it for what it is- a fun vehicle. I'm glad I have a truck to haul with, though!
As a side note to the frame thinkers, I saw a Tahoe parked next to a H2 at the grocery store the other day. I looked up in their wheelwells at the frame. It appears that the frame is taller on the H2 than the Tahoe. But then the H2 was a chrome laden 4 X 4 and the Tahoe had the full Explorer Limited two wheel drive treatment.
Also the owner/drivers of these beasts were suburbanite women that dressed about the same and were of about the same age. I'd guess that GM really knows their demographics on these two trucks. Tahoe driver is blond and the H3 driver was a brunette if that matters.

And everything in the LR Catalogue would happily destroy anything up to a H1 off-road (and a Defender would even give a H1 a run for its money... and a Discovery, and a "non-sport" Range Rover wouldn't be far behind...)

they do fetch a price and are only available in gas.
to bad most of them are just status symbols that will never see anything other then a driveway or a pavement cruise.
the one a cruised around in greece was great, sort of banged up, had a nice noisy diesel in it, was great. it is really too bad i can't get one here.
i have always told myself that when i live outside the US again, i am getting either a defender or a nissan patrol, my other favorite.

You got to finish it,
Although it shares GM's GMT820 truck platform with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, those vehicles differ in many ways and are constructed in three other GM plants. The H2's final frame assembly is made up of 3 sections: The front uses a modified GM 2500-Series utility frame, the mid-section is all new and is completely boxed, and the rear section uses a modified GM 1500-Series frame which is upgraded for the 8,600 pound (3629 kg) gross vehicle weight
I think that makes them different, and if not then the Tahoe and Yukon have a good strong frame.
