Vacuum line to brake booster

Hi Guys,

Two questions. One - If any of you are using metal tubing
for your vacuum booster brake line, I was wondering what size
tubing your using?
Two - The two water lines that connect to the heater
fittings on the firewall. I`m not ready to take them off
yet and I`m wondering what size the heater pipes are
that the water hoses fit? O.D.?
Thanks

Gary

1) Can't help ya.

2) The heater hoses are usually 5/8" ID.

From vac to the booster? Black rubber (like heater hose) to fit.

Do not use heater hose for the vacuum booster...
This needs to be a vacuum/pcv rated hose and also fuel resistant.

Metal can be utilized for some of it if one prefers, using short vacuum hose for the end connections.

I am just using the black rubber hose made for vacuum on mine.

Randy is correct. Mine is 5/8" heater hose.

Yes, sorry, not actually heater hose, just meant not metal, but black vacuum hose to fit.

I used some metal 3/8" fuel line and a tubing bender to form the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the brake booster. It is painted silver color to match most of the manifold parts. Both ends have rubber hose with enough length for engine roll at the booster before connecting to the brake booster check valve.

I just looked at your gallery. That`s some great work!
Your answer to my question is exactly what I was
looking for-metal tube size, etc. I assume there is no problem
with the tube size and all works well.
Thanks again
Gary
