Sounds like a winner to me. You might have an issue with the anti-theft key system if you don't use the F150 steering column. If you don't use the column you may be able to get the computer reprogrammed to ignore that feature. Others on here may have a better thought on that problem.

How long did the engine stay upside down? You'll need to drain the oil, pull the plugs, and clean the engine out, so it doesn't throw a rod from trying to compress fluids that dripped into the cylinder. I did it with a 302 2 weeks after I rolled my truck. I thought I had it cleared, but guess not. Just erring on the side of caution. Otherwise, I say go for it.

Thanks HAVI,.....actually,...total upside down time was about 1 and 3/4 seconds,...(about 1/4 second for each of the 7 times it rolled) until it stopped right side up !!! sorry,...had to say it,...it really did roll 7 times,...I'm sure there will be many issues to address looking at it,...the engine is about 7 inches to the left off center in the engine compartment

Congrads on surviving that, Praise God!

If you have a way to show some pics that would be really interesting.

Hope things work out with the 60.

First off, I glad that you are well and here to plan such a project. Seven times!! Wow. Sounds like a good plan for what's left of the '04. Keep us posted.

I would forget about the ABS system. ABS systems aren't very modifiable friendly. To would have a remote chance for it to work would require the front suspension and rear axle in the 1960. They also use special wires and if you mess with the resistance at all then it will throw a code and disable itself.

Thank God your're OK. I had to laugh at what you said about think about making the '60 into a nice cruiser. That would go for most of us on this site, I feel."Ok I'm fine just shook up a bit...Hey this 4.6 would make my '60 FLY--sounds like a plan".
Glad you are OK
Mike
